
The Greenfield Tool Co. was based in Greenfield, Mass., and operated in the mid-19th Century between 1851 and 1883. It specialized in making joiners, bench planes, moulding tools, handles, plane irons and other woodworking tools.
The Conway Tool Co. operated in Conway, Mass, until it burned down in 1851. In the same year, the founders reformed the business and moved it to Greenfield, Mass, under the new name of the Greenfield Tool Co. The company was forced into liquidation after a fire destroyed the main manufacturing plant in 1887.
